Dr. Kirby is a well-known health communication and social/health marketing expert in public health. She has worked with CDC for over 20 years on almost every public health topic. Dr. Kirby led the team that created CDC’s first brand tagline – Safer – Healthier – People. Since founding Kirby Marketing Solutions, Dr. Kirby has worked with other national, state, and local organizations. She is most proud of her work in bringing together diverse people from varying backgrounds, including the private sector, to help public health organizations achieve their goals. She began her career in the business world working with BellSouth but soon found her home in public health.
Dr. Kirby is an adjunct associate professor at UCLA teaching social marketing and health communication. She is very excited to announce that she was recently named the Associate Editor of Social Marketing Quarterly.
